I just got done reading a story called The Legend of Sleepy Hollow. One of my favorite stories ever. I have read this story many times and never get tired of it. It's a tale of love, mischief, and excitement. It keeps you interested, and locked in on the story. It has clever wit, action, mystery, and even a little comedy. It is a story that has been made into movies, inspired Halloween costumes, and still scares little kids to this very day. I thought it was even better that I got to read it again so close to Halloween. When all kinds of ghost and goblins roam the night. It's the perfect time to read this story. After all, who doesn't love a good ghost story when it's this time of year. And Washington Irving has one of the best!
I LOVE the Legend of Sleepy Hollow and I love your blog picture. When I read the story for the class I was still captivated by it, but it was more the chase, even though I knew what was going to happen. I hadn't read the story in a really long time though, and all I remember from reading it when I was younger was being so scared over the fact that Ichabod lost his head!! Reading the story now it was about so much more than that, but it was a good read and I did get a lot more out of it this time around.
